Zorya Herbicide (Mesotrione 40% SC)

Zorya by Parijat Industries is a selective, post-emergence herbicide containing Mesotrione 40% w/w SC (48% w/v). It is designed for controlling broadleaf and grassy weeds in maize and sugarcane. It works systemically through foliage and root absorption, causing rapid bleaching and death of weeds.

Mode of Action

Mesotrione is a systemic herbicide absorbed through leaves and roots. It moves through xylem and phloem, inhibiting HPPD enzyme, which disrupts carotenoid formation. This causes leaf bleaching, followed by drying and death of weeds.

Time of Application

Apply at 2–4 leaf stage of weeds using a knapsack sprayer fitted with flat fan nozzle.
