Problem Recommended Product Dose
Powdery Mildew & Anthracnose Amistar 200 ml/acre
Fruit Rot Kavach 400 g/acre
Whitefly + Mites Pegasus 250 g/acre
Spodoptera + Fruit Borer Cigna 250 ml/acre
Fruit Borer Proclaim 80 g/acre

For other pest and disease problems, use insecticides and fungicides according to recommendations from the Department of Agriculture and the respective product labels.

Irrigation Management

Irrigation frequency should be adjusted according to soil type, crop stage and growing season.

  • Light Soil: Requires more frequent irrigation.
  • Heavy Soil: Requires less frequent irrigation.
  • Vegetative Stage: Maintain adequate moisture for root development.
  • Flowering & Fruiting: Frequent and shallow irrigation is recommended.
  • Harvesting: Gradually reduce irrigation during harvesting.
  • Summer: More frequent irrigation may be required.
  • Winter: Irrigation intervals can generally be longer than summer.
  • Rainy Season: Irrigation frequency depends on soil moisture and rainfall.

Harvesting

  • Green Chilli: Fully mature, firm green fruits can start harvesting at approximately 65–70 days.
  • Picking Interval: Subsequent pickings can be carried out at approximately 10–15 day intervals.
  • Red Chilli: Harvest when fruits are more than 90% ripe.
