Dhanuka Weedmar 38 Herbicide
- Dhanuka Weedmar 80 (2,4-D Sodium Salt 80% WP) is a selective, systemic post-emergence herbicide. It controls broadleaf weeds, sedges, and certain grasses in field crops like wheat, maize, rice, and sugarcane. It works as a plant growth regulator, forcing uncontrolled cell division that kills target weeds
Active Ingredient
- 2,4-D Sodium Salt 80% Wettable Powder (WP)
Mode of Action:
- Absorbed through roots and leaves, then translocated throughout the weed tissue
Target Weeds
- Annual and perennial broadleaf weeds and sedges (Cyperus species)
Recommended Crops
- Wheat, sugarcane, maize, rice (paddy), potato, sorghum, and non-crop areas
Dosage and Application
- General Dosage: 300 to 600 grams per acre depending on crop type and weed intensity
- Mixing Ratio: Roughly 4 grams per litre of water (or about 60 grams for a standard 15-litre backpack sprayer pump)
- Best Timing: Apply when weeds are young and actively growing
