- Colfos is a ready-to-use insecticide combining the power of Ethion and Cypermethrin with contact and stomach action. It provides fast knockdown and effective control of bollworms in cotton crops.
Active Ingredients
- Ethion 40% + Cypermethrin 5% EC
Mode of Action
- Ethion: A non-systemic organophosphate insecticide with predominant contact action. It inhibits the enzyme Acetylcholinesterase, blocking nerve impulse transmission in insects and causing paralysis and death.
- Cypermethrin: A synthetic pyrethroid that acts as a sodium channel modulator, keeping sodium channels open and causing hyperexcitation, paralysis, and eventual death of the insect.
