Description: Bayer Raft is a broad-spectrum herbicide containing Oxadiargyl 6% EC. It is used as a pre-emergence or early post-emergence herbicide to control grasses, sedges, and broadleaf weeds in crops like transplanted rice, cumin, and mustard. It acts through contact action and forms a layer on the soil surface to prevent weed growth.

Mode of Action

RAFT inhibits the Protox (PPO) enzyme, causing disruption in chlorophyll formation. This leads to necrosis and death of emerging weeds.

Dosage (Per Acre)

• Recommended Dose: 160 – 200 ml per acre
• Water Requirement: 150 – 200 liters per acre

Application Timing

• Transplanted Rice: 3–5 days after transplanting
• Cumin: 14–18 days after sowing
• Mustard: Within 2 days after sowing

Application Method

• Ensure soil is moist at the time of application
• Avoid flooding immediately after spraying
• Apply uniformly for best results
