Elpida® Insecticide is formulated with Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG, a naturally occurring insecticide from the Avermectin group. Elpida is highly effective against chewing pests, especially lepidopteran larvae such as bollworms and fruit & shoot borers. It provides rapid feeding cessation and strong residual control, helping protect crop yield and quality.

Mode of Action

Elpida acts as a chloride channel activator. It affects nerve cells by suppressing muscle contraction, causing continuous flow of chloride ions through GABA and H-glutamate receptor sites. This leads to paralysis, rapid feeding cessation, and death of the insect.
