Description
- Lambda-cyhalothrin 2.5% EC is a broad-spectrum synthetic pyrethroid insecticide widely used in agriculture to control a variety of insect pests. It is effective against a range of chewing and sucking insects, including caterpillars, beetles, aphids, and leafhoppers. It is widely used on cereals, vegetables, cotton, pulses, and fruit crops.

Mode of Action
Lambda-cyhalothrin binds to sodium channels in the nerve cells of insects. This prolongs the opening of sodium channels, causing continuous nerve impulses, leading to hyperexcitation, paralysis, and death of the insect.

Time of Application
- Rice: Apply at early infestation stage (10–15% leaf damage or first appearance of larvae/pests). Repeat if needed after 15–20 days.
- Cotton: Spray at early square/flowering stage when first signs of pest activity are noticed. Avoid spraying during full bloom.
- Vegetables (Tomato, Brinjal, Okra, Chilli, Cabbage, Cauliflower): Apply at flowering to fruit initiation stage, or immediately after noticing pest incidence. Repeat after 10–15 days if infestation continues.
- Pulses (Red gram, Green gram, Black gram, Chickpea): Spray at flowering to pod formation stage when first larvae/infestation appears.
- Maize / Sorghum: Apply at 5–6 leaf stage (vegetative growth) when pest incidence begins.
